Statements, Settlements, and Payouts

Developer payouts twice monthly on the 1st and 15th through Stripe Connect in USD, with a minimum 14-day hold, dedicated payout funds, and itemized statements.

Twice-monthly payouts on the 1st and 15th

Developers, affiliates, and collaborators share the same twice-monthly payout schedule: the 1st and 15th. Each payout covers eligible earnings from the previous period and older unpaid eligible balances after a minimum 14-day hold. Funds still within the hold carry forward to the next eligible payout date. Developer payouts use Stripe Connect in USD. These are payment-initiation dates, not guaranteed bank-arrival dates.

When your sale becomes payable

The 14-day hold is measured from the payment time. Payouts run twice a month, so a sale that matures between runs waits for the next scheduled run. Statement date ranges organize billing; they do not override the payment hold.

Scheduled runEligible balance
1st of the monthAll unpaid eligible funds whose 14-day hold has completed by the scheduled run
15th of the monthAll remaining unpaid eligible funds whose 14-day hold has completed by the scheduled run

Your balance and statement

Discounted pre-tax sale price minus the SoundSync fee gives proceeds for the sale. Accepted affiliate and collaborator shares are then allocated separately; only the developer remainder belongs in the developer payout. Statements distinguish sale revenue, recipient shares, usage charges, refunds, disputes, and transfers. Tax collected for remittance is not product revenue.

The $10 monthly minimum is a minimum total of SoundSync charges, not a $10 subscription added to every bill. Sale fees, marketing-email charges, redemption overages, and other applicable SoundSync charges count toward it. If those charges total $7, the minimum adjustment is $3; if they total $12, no minimum adjustment is added. Sale fees already deducted from your proceeds are counted toward the minimum, not charged again on the statement. The shortfall is reconciled after the calendar month closes, not added separately to every partial-month statement.

Where funds are held and paid

Funds collected through SoundSync Stripe and PayPal checkout are held in a dedicated business account used only for developer, affiliate, and collaborator payouts, not business expenses. Developer payouts are made through Stripe Connect after the applicable hold and reconciliation. This is a dedicated business account, not a claim of escrow, trust-account status, or deposit protection.

SoundSync supports USD only currently: product prices, checkout presentment and charges, developer statements, and payouts are in US dollars. International checkout does not mean multi-currency checkout. A buyer's provider may convert a USD charge into the currency of their account. Developers bear applicable currency-conversion costs when receiving funds in another currency. Conversion rates and destination charges depend on the payment provider; no universal conversion percentage is promised.

Why an amount may still be held

A sale must complete its minimum hold and have verified payment and accounting records. Pending refunds, unresolved disputes, account restrictions, unverified destinations, or a payment requiring reconciliation can delay the affected amount. A reserved or submitted transfer is not necessarily a completed payment. These safeguards are distinct from a routine reserve.

Small balances and payment execution

There is no SoundSync payout minimum or routine reserve. Small positive USD balances follow the same eligibility and approval process as other payouts. Contact support about an unpaid eligible balance, an account restriction, or the payout destination available for your account.

If a payout has not arrived

Contact support with the statement period and payment reference. An unpaid or failed transfer remains a balance to reconcile, not a completed payout. SoundSync must distinguish a scheduled payment, provider acceptance, and receipt at the destination.

Closing a developer account

Request closure through support. New sales, campaigns, subscription renewals, credentials, and existing customer access need a coordinated closeout. Remaining eligible funds are due on the next applicable payout date; funds still within the hold follow their eligible cycle.

Request a final itemized statement. Closure does not erase unpaid fees, disputes, customer obligations, or records required by law. The customer access transition is agreed during closeout.

The regular $10 monthly minimum applies in full in the closing month; it is not prorated. Qualifying SoundSync fees count toward that amount. If those fees reach $10, no additional minimum is charged. If they total less than $10, only the difference is due. Closing the account does not add another $10 on top of qualifying fees.

Affiliate and collaborator shares

Affiliate and collaborator accounting is available for eligible one-time product sales. Live participation requires explicit acceptance by both the developer owner and recipient of the current agreement version and payout policy before future eligible sales accrue shares. Keep payout details verified. An invitation or calculator preview is not collected money, and agreement acceptance is separate from live financial approval. Refunds and disputes reconcile the original shares; recurring-product commissions are not included in this workflow.

SoundSync manages recipient settlement on SoundSync-collected sales. The 10% SoundSync fee is deducted first; ordinary managed-checkout processing is covered by SoundSync, not deducted again from recipients. The accepted affiliate share comes next, then collaborator shares and the developer remainder are kept separate. Eligible payouts follow the 1st and 15th schedule and minimum 14-day hold, with payment, destination, refund, dispute, and account checks. Externally collected reseller or partner sales remain unfunded estimates in this settlement system, and SoundSync does not cover their processing fees. No automatic cross-provider or currency conversion is promised.

Check the eligible run, not only the statement date

The payout schedule uses America/New_York by default. The displayed run and eligibility cutoff govern the account; monthly email and redemption allowances use UTC calendar months instead. A 14-day payment hold is a full elapsed hold, not an early release caused by a statement date bucket.

When open SoundSync invoices consume an entire approved eligible balance, an explicitly approved internal offset can settle the invoices without a zero-value provider transfer. That is settlement of charges, not money sent to your bank. Historical or mismatched balances require support reconciliation before payment.

If live payout setup needs approval

The workspace owner starts or resumes Stripe Connect onboarding. Other team roles, including Administrators and Billing users, cannot open a new onboarding link for the owner. Their permitted balance, statement and payout-status reporting remains available. If you receive developer_team_owner_required, ask the workspace owner to complete setup; changing the requested environment does not grant access.

Live Stripe Connect setup currently requires account approval. If setup or status refresh returns LIVE_CONNECT_DEVELOPER_NOT_ALLOWLISTED, contact SoundSync support with your developer account reference to request review. Do not repeatedly create test accounts or change the environment to work around this restriction. Live checkout availability and live payout onboarding are separate checks.

After approval, finish the available Stripe Connect requirements and inspect the saved live payout status. A connected destination, a status refresh or a scheduled run is not confirmation of bank receipt. This setup requirement does not change the twice-monthly schedule or the minimum 14-day hold.
